Former Brooklynites Andi Kovel and Justin Parker are the design minds behind Esque Studio, a Portland, OR-based company specializing in hand-made glassware — from vases to candlesticks to even terrariums. The duo — who custom-make every piece — got their start crafting glass renderings for cult-artists like Kiki Smith, before heading out west to open their on-the-ascent studio. Today, their green glass-making machine tuns out bespoke creations often made using wind power and recycled glass — many of which turn up in chic shops such as Ralph Lauren and Anthropologie. The beauties above were from the first collection of Skull Decanters made exclusively for from-the-future wine bar Clo in New York City. Already sold out in orange, a second spooky-licious edition arrives at Clo later this month, this time sleekly rendered in black. Salut!
