Tele-Boarding

800px-flughafen_frankfurt_am_main German national air carrier Lufthansa has launched a nifty new service for passengers on select intra-European flights — boarding passes via cell phone. The new technology allows flyers to receive a specialized bar-code directly to their cell phones which can be in place of conventional paper boarding passes. The service was launched on all domestic flights and between London-Heathrow and Germany last year. In the USA, Delta, Continental and American Airlines are also working with this innovative platform. We’re certainly ready for it to take-off.

Don’t a couple of American-based airlines offer the same? Doesn’t Delta and/or Continental offer this service?
