It’s a bit of a Bedford-Stuyvesant moment. Not only did the historic Brooklyn ‘hood serve as a scenic backdrop in the recent Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious, parts of it have recently attained coveted Landmark status. New York City’s important Landmark Preservation Commission has honored Bed-Stuy for its elegant collection of Queen Anne-styled row houses (as above) which date to the late 19th century. Also newly lauded: Manhattan’s Con-Ed building at Irving Place and Chase Manhattan Plaza near Wall Street. Congrats!
