Sending it South
Even as we Gringos are having a rough time, our amigos down in Mexico are right there with us. And it’s all our faults! Seems as if the economic slow-down in El Norte is resulting in a steel drop in remittances from Mexicans in the USA to their families back home. Indeed, remittances last year to Mexico fell — by about $2 billion — the first time since recording began back in 1995. Remittances pumped $27 BILLION into the Mexican economy in 2007 — mucho dinero indeed!
