maya-rudolph Transracial – and fellow Jew-latto — Maya Rudolph is best-known for her wacky work on Saturday Night Live. But Rudolph — who’s dad is Jewish and mom is Black — is taking things a bit more serious with an appearance on the upcoming second installment of The Black List: Volume 2 (which airs Thursday, Feb. 26). The HBO documentary series chronicles the experiences of notable African American at their own pace and in their own words. The first installment featured folks like Thelma Golden, Richard Parsons and Bill T. Jones. Part 2 includes Rudolph (above), along with folks like Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick and former Black Panther (and fellow Brandeis alum) Angela Davis.

  1. I can’t wait – the dvr is set! and btw, if anyone hasn’t seen Black List vol. 1 its currently running on HBO on Demand. yes!
