DAILY TRANSRACIAL: Leo Villareal

villareal_info_lg Here is yet more proof that Obama-era Washington, DC is eclipsing New York as America’s true capital of cool. Right now DC’s National Gallery of Art is displaying Multiverse (above), the largest-ever light installation by NYC-based talent Leo Villareal (hubby of she’s-here-there-and-everywhere, Yvonne). Set in the IM Pei-designed gallery, the piece is the largest ever of its kind from the Tex-Mex transracial artist and is anchored around 41,000 illuminated LED nodes running through a 200 foot-long space. On display through November, it is yet another bright triumph for this true Bright Young Thing!
