Joaquin Guzman: Forbes’ Billionaire Bandito
Forgive the grainy mug shot — what else can you expect from one of the world’s hardest-core drug lords: Joaquin “Shorty” Guzman.
But it’s not all bad news for Mexico’s most-wanted. This year 54 year-old Guzman made it onto Forbes’ newly-released annual billionaire list.
While Guzman’s exact whereabouts are unknown — though Interpol, America’s DEA and Mexican anti-narco units are all on the case — his fortune ballooned this past year in tandem with Mexico’s now notorious drug warfare crisis.
While we suspect Guzman — whose notorious Sinaloa cartel is responsible for thousands of annual deaths — is not the most altruistic of characters, you too can benefit from his elusiveness.
A $5 million bounty is on Guzman’s head.
