MILAGRO: American Artists Invited to Havana’s 10th Biennial

Whether it’s because of Fidel’s failing health or Obama-related bonhomie, but for the first time in its decade-long history, the Havana Biennial is welcoming Gringo artists.

Taking place from March 27 to April 30, the Yankees will display their works and mix/mingle with artsy types from some 40 different nations.

This years see controversial Aregentine artist Leon Ferarri being honored — and the American welcome mat is just one component of the Biennial’s shift away from a purely “developing world”-focus.
