WE’RE READING: Hunting Eichmann

Book Review Hunting Eichmann

If the postings seemed a bit slow a few days back, blame it on the book above — Hunting Eichmann: How a Band of Survivors and a Young Spy Agency Chased Down the World’s Most Notorious Nazi.

Totally engrossing, the book — by author Neal Bascomb — follows the story of an ace Mossad unit which found the notorious Nazi criminal in Argentina, plotted his kidnapping and brought him back to Israel for trial.

Along the way, we learn about the Holocaust, Peronist Argentina, early-state Israel and post WWII geopolitics.

It’s a lot to process — but Bascomb does a remarkable job of making it all make sense.
