IN COURT: Starwood vs. Hilton

A juice battle is brewing between hotel giants Starwood and Hilton, who are currently in court battling over the fate of some 100,000 documents the former claims was stolen by the latter!

Yowza!

It appears as if former Starwood exec Ross Klein — who built the mass-boutique W brand (W Seoul above) — has now shifted over to Hilton where he’s embarking on a similar “lifestyle lodging” endeavor. Trouble is Starwood contends that during the transition, Klein and crew stole 100,000 electronic documents detailing the building of the W brand which will now be used by Hilton in a copy-cat endeavor, the newly launched Denizen Hotels.

Starwood says they spent millions to build W and are not going to sit back and give Klein — their former golden boy — carte blanche to do the same over at Hilton.

The suit is only in its beginnings — and we suspect it’s gonna get nasty.
