She may look like a nice gray-haired lady, but Republican Representative Betty Brown of Texas has got a foul mouth.
No, she uttered no curse words. Rather, she was quoted as saying that Asians should change their names for new names that are
“easier for Americans to deal with.”
Unsurprisingly, Texan democrats are fighting mad, demanding Brown issue an apology for her bad form and calling her out as uncouth and insensitive.
The whole debacle began during debates over voter identification requirements current going on in Texas — a move we’ve written about before and whole-heartedly do NOT support.
Rep. Brown’s indiscretion is just one more reason why this entire issue should be scrapped — and fast!
